About Me

Welcome to My World

dorothy-johnson-hr-2

Hello!

My name is Dorothy Johnson. I’m a wife, mother, and grandmother who loves God and feels blessed to wake up each day to a magnificent view of the Arkansas River in Little Rock, Arkansas.

River Beautiful MorningMy husband, Terry, and I have been amazed at the wildlife that has wandered through our yard during the thirty years we’ve lived here. We’ve been visited by bobcats, foxes, coyotes, deer, bunnies, and all kinds of feathered friends. We’ve fed birds and watched eagles, hawks, and buzzards ride the air currents along the ridge. I often find a lesson in what I see and love to write about it here.

We’ve always had at least one cat and usually two or three. At the moment, we share our home with three: Max, Timmy and Lola. Sometimes, you’ll find me writing about how they brighten our days. Lola occasionally begs to fill in for me here, so I let her.

IMG_1842We love the seashore and visit Navarre Beach on the Florida panhandle several times a year. Consequently, you’ll find me writing about it, too.

LakeCondo

Last year, we bought a condo on Lake Hamilton in the Hot Springs National Park. It’s still a work in progress, but I already love spending time there. It’s only an hour from home so I anticipate spending lots of time there.

A question I often ask myself is how anyone can observe the way of the wind on the water, the surf, tides, and incredible creatures and not believe in a Creator?

I’d love to get to know you and hear about how God speaks into your life. I hope you’ll follow Reflections from Dorothy.com.
