It’s been a while since I posted. I took a little time off to take care of family, rest and recharge. But I’m ready to reengage and share some things that have been on my mind. I hope you’ll check in with me in the days ahead.
Today, I’m introducing a new weekly feature: Question of the Day. It’s just what it sounds like–a question that I hope you’ll mull over as you go about your day.
I ran into this guy at the Navarre Beach Flea Market this summer. I think he might be the cartoon character, the Tasmanian Devil. Remember him?
He may remind you of someone you know. Or if you’re like me, yourself some days.

Hey! You talking’ to me?
|
What would your day look like if you looked for the best in everyone you met?
Isn’t that what we want from those we encounter?
Just asking.
Love puts up with all things, trusts in all things, hopes in all things, endures all things.
I Cor. 13:7

I'm a lover of God, mother of three, grandmother of eight, and a collector of friends. I like nothing better than talking, listening, laughing and eating with that crowd. My husband, Terry, and I feel blessed to wake up each day to a magnificent view of the Arkansas River. An amazing variety of creatures, from bobcats and coyotes to deer, bunnies and nutria, along with all sorts of birds roam the natural area behind our house. We also share our home with three silly kitties. I often find a lesson in what I see both indoors and out on any given day and usually find myself writing about it. I hope you'll join me in exploring the ways God speaks to us through His creation.

What an inspiring question. I'm glad you're back in the game so-to-speak. I missed your posts.

If I looked for the best in everyone, I think I would find it. We often see what we look for. I'd see a world full of gentle smiles, kind gestures, loving embraces, raucous laughter, and unadulterated joy. I'd see people helping people. I'd see people embracing the silver lining of bad situations and smiling their way through challenges.
Makes me think of a few quotes by Anne Frank:
“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”
“Whoever is happy will make others happy too.”
